《但以理書》是《舊約聖經》中的大先知書之一。歷來猶太教與基督教會都同意但以理是本書的作者，是公元前6世紀的作品，但理性主義學者認為該書部分或全部是公元前2世紀的作品。本書是以第一人稱的語氣記述的，顯示作者可能是但以理本人。耶穌引用《但以理書》第9章第27節所記載的預言時，也稱其是「先知但以理所說的」。
